29 Weeks

How Old? 29 weeks (6 Months, 3 Weeks, 1 day)
Weight? Hopefully about 15 pounds, we will find out at his 7 months follow up appointment on the 15th.
Clothing? 6 months! I packed up all of his 3 months sized clothes yesterday.
Sleep? He is sleeping 10 hours straight consistently!
Best moment this week? Celebrating Daniel's first Easter with our families! We also had a blast at the park with Jenn, Kayla, Tristan, Kate and Erin!
Toys? A top that Mia and Poppy got him for Easter and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ball his Mimi and Pops got him.
Eating? He eats about 20-24 ounces of formula and 1-2 jars of baby food a day now. He is not interested in baby food anymore. He will only eat one kind and had been spitting up really bad after eating it.
New discoveries? Baby Mum-Mum's Rice Rusks that are made with vegetables and he can pick them up and eat them. He also got a new ducky bath tub for Easter that allows him to sit up and play in the bath. They were both Easter goodies from Mia and Poppy.
What I am looking forward to? Taking Daniel swimming! With the weather being so nice it won't be long until the pool is warmed up!
Milestones? Your baby's fine motor skills are coming along. By now he can probably scoop things up with one hand and transfer an object from one hand to the other fairly easily. Fine motor skills involve small, precise thumb, finger, hand, and wrist movements and are used for actions like picking up things between the thumb and finger. Gross motor skills are required for activities like crawling, which use large muscles such as those in the arm, leg, or feet or the entire body. To encourage your baby's development of these skills, place a toy just out of your baby's reach and watch him try to get it. If he cries because he can't quite reach it, give him encouragement — but not the toy. He's just venting frustration and will become more physically confident more quickly if you don't make everything easy for him. After a few tries, he'll be able to lean forward to grab the toy and then straighten himrself again. Before long, he'll be rocking back and forth on her hands and knees or maybe creeping (pushing himself around on his belly) or even repeatedly rolling over to move about the room. Help him move around easily by dressing him in loose, comfortable clothes. Your baby's also showing an interest in small parts and the details of the objects around him. His ways of exploring are growing beyond banging and gumming, although those are still part of every toy interaction. As he explores, be sure to keep buttons, coins, safety pins, balloons, rocks, and other choking hazards out of reach.
